I really like the look of wood grips, especially exotic ones by Esmeralda , but for serious use, I usualy lean toward G-10
Exactly the same for me. I've tried thin and standard grips made out of aluminum, wood, and rubber, with and without finger grooves, but the Hogues with the palm swell are the best for me.They ain't the prettiest grips, but I really like the way Hogue rubber grips with palm swells fit my hand. Thin up top around the thumb and trigger finger, with a perfectly proportioned bulge to fit the hollow of my palm. These are the separate grip panel style, not the one-piece wrap-around with finger grooves.

Drake Oldham^ Actually Im more interested in the gun... who did the work?
Ed Ames said:I have an RIA double stack (in my case .22 TCM/9mm) with the Hogue wrap around for a P14 installed. Works fine, looks meh (though better than the cheap plastic that came on my RIA). The upper grip screw hole is slightly misplaced relative to the RIA frame leaving you with a crescent shaped gap on one side of the screw. Purely cosmetic but it could bug a person.
It is a literal handful for my borderline medium/large hands...as in it's the biggest I would ever go on a pistol and feels kinda weird since I am used to wrapping my hands further around the frame, but it is comfortable.
