What's Your Favorite Revolver?

Colt Officers Model Special.

My pick too. Well-made, intrinsically very accurate and has a super nice sa trigger pull. I use mine regularly in Bullseye competition. This Colt is every bit as good as its counterpart "back in the day", the Smith Model 14,-but no better. :)

I only own one, a 360 PD. Even with a trigger job, it goes 10 pounds DA. My favorite DA was a Colt Trooper III, 22lr. that I let get away to get a 252 FA 83.

I did like the Colt Python I got to shoot. Still, trigger was long, and stacked...but smooth.

I have an old pair of worn-out jeans that fits me just right; and a frumpy sweatshirt that ain't much to look at but sure is cozy; and a pair of work boots that make me feel like dancin' when I wear them. And thinking along those same lines is my favorite revolver: the double-action Colt Trooper MK III. Bought it new when I was 18 years of old age, and like my jeans, it fits me just right.

Colt triggers are supposed to stack -- it's as if you cock the revolver with the first part of the pull, and fire it single action after it stacks. It's a different technique from that used with the S&W, but it works well for those who practice with it.

S&W MDL 13 or MDL 65. I gave my Performance Center Mdl 13 to my Father-In-Law for his wife to carry.
I really really miss that gun but I like my In-Laws so it's OK.

I have a beat up model 64-3 that I wouldnt trade for anything because it was the first smith I ever bought and I put quite a few hours into polishing scratches out of her. Its my favorite safe gun.

The GP100 .357 6" is by far my favorite as far as function, performance, and looks are concerned.

Without question, my favorite revolvers are N frame .44 magnums.

I prefer the five inch guns for all-arounders.

S&W mod.15 (.38 Spl square butt K-frame)

Can't choose between my 2" and 4", though probably the latter.
They're both super slick from use -not abuse- and very accurate.
.38 Spl is my favorite caliber & more than powerful enough for all my shooting.

It doesn't hurt that I think they're both absolute classic beauties.

S&W 629-1 that I bought 23 years ago, what a boomer! My favorite revolver I own, my 6" Colt Python, what a beauty. When I saw that piece in the showcase, that Royal Blue metal shining back..... that's why it came home and stayed here, what a beautiful piece to take out and shoot, more accurately than I can hold. Would give all of my other revolvers away before parting with this one.

I prefer some for particular uses, but the favorite overall has to be my Victory Model. It's no collectors piece having been refinished and equipped with later model grips, but it has simply the best DA trigger pull of any gun I've ever fired.

Between three....

My 4" Model 13 Heavy Barrel, my 4" Colt King Cobra in Bright Stainless and my Ruger Redwawk .44 Mag 7 1/2". I like the Model 13 and King Cobra much better as a handguns but the Redhawk has been such a great hunting revolver it's earned it's place my heart.

Well, it seems I have not posted in here yet, so I will play. My favorite sixgun, and indeed my favorite firearm, is a particular early-1990's era Ruger GP100, 4" barrel, adjustable sights, that I purchased a a fun/utility gun, but then carried on police patrol duty for a few years, before going to lighter K-frames for that purpose. One night in 1993, I used that GP100 to come in first place, in the gravest extreme, in a contest with no second place winner, to borrow some phrases from book titles by Mas Ayoob and the late, great Bill Jordan.

I may actually prefer to carry lighter revolvers, but for actual shooting, especially large-volume shooting, and for field carry, I love this GP100, along with several other GP100 variants I love almost as much.

Honorable mention goes to the 4" S&W Model 19, in my opinion the ultimate daily carry sixgun. I owned two in the 1990's, and foolishly sold or traded them to help finance 1911 pistols. I recently remedied that by acquiring a virtually mint-condition 19-5 recently.
