Well, it seems I have not posted in here yet, so I will play. My favorite sixgun, and indeed my favorite firearm, is a particular early-1990's era Ruger GP100, 4" barrel, adjustable sights, that I purchased a a fun/utility gun, but then carried on police patrol duty for a few years, before going to lighter K-frames for that purpose. One night in 1993, I used that GP100 to come in first place, in the gravest extreme, in a contest with no second place winner, to borrow some phrases from book titles by Mas Ayoob and the late, great Bill Jordan.
I may actually prefer to carry lighter revolvers, but for actual shooting, especially large-volume shooting, and for field carry, I love this GP100, along with several other GP100 variants I love almost as much.
Honorable mention goes to the 4" S&W Model 19, in my opinion the ultimate daily carry sixgun. I owned two in the 1990's, and foolishly sold or traded them to help finance 1911 pistols. I recently remedied that by acquiring a virtually mint-condition 19-5 recently.
