I just bought a Marlin Lever in .35 Remington and I read that you can use .357 pistol bullets for a plinking round. Anyone done this? If so what was the load you used.
I went out to buy a Wally World Marlin 336W in 30-30, a buddy of mine asked what I was doing and when I told him he offered me a 336CS in .35 Rem for $250.
I went and bought 20 rounds to try it out and caught a sticker shock. $29.95 for .35 v $17.99 for 30-30. In a hundred or so rounds I...
As an Englishman living in the USA I can attest to the fact that the War of Independence or the Revolutionary war is taught slightly differently over in England. My education of it was much less colored with the glory of victory and dug deeper into the facts. Whereas my children who were taught...
The earliest documentated use of telescopic sights I can recall was during the Civil War. The 1st and 2nd Union Sharpshooter Regiments used a 3 times magnification scope that ran the length of the barrel of their rifles. The rifles weighed 30lbs and was built by gunsmith Morgan James.
Scopes...
I am just in the processes of finishing up my first build and ordering a bunch of parts for the second. First for what you want the rifle to do I wouldn't waste my money on a free float hand guard unless you want to. Don't do it for accuracy. Money would be better spent on good optics. Second go...
I have bought several items from PSA including magazines during last years crazy spell and they always came through great. I have no problem recommending them
LOL I came to the same conclusion when I bought one. Especially when the caps jammed the cylinder. But as has been said compared to what came before a real step forward. A bit like cable brakes versus hydraulic brakes!
It all depends on your reasoning. I am a believer in quality not quantity when it comes to firearms. I also believe in minimizing the variations in caliber I have to stock for. So to answer your question, once you have the firearms you need / want then ammo. But don't forget training, practice...
Fear has nothing to do with rational thought. The AR was picked on because it is one of the most popular semi-automatic rifles out there and bears a close likeness to the rifle the military use. Politicians and the press are not interested in facts and figures when they get in the way of...
Yet to put together a single round but I picked up used a Lyman single stage press, Lyman Turbo 600 Tumbler, Lyman case trimmer, RCBS powder dispenser, RCBS balance scales for $120. I think I did pretty good. Then I bought a Lee Pro 1000 in .40S&W kit. I want to load .40 on the Lee and my rifle...
I see Schultz's move as one generated by money. He previously had taken the stand that followed local laws. Which allowed him to abdicate responsibility. He has now come clean and took a stance. No doubt under pressure from lobbyists.
I made a point of visiting Starbucks on the "mothers...
The picture of the duffel bag and its contents show 30 round magazines, an AR15 upper only and a 1860 Remington. Dont hold me to the exact model of the revolver but you get the picture. Odd is the word that come to mind
I bet the front sight base was drilled for a free floating handgaurd hence no need for the cap. OP you are trying to add the cap?. The cap is 25 thousands of an inch thick. Only real fix is new barrel and front sight base. Never shaved a front sight base.
I was born and raised in London and I am appalled by the behaviour of the people who just sat there and watched. It saddens me that no one had the bulldog spirit and came to this guys aid.
All it takes is courage and sheer numbers to stop these people. I would have.
The British people...
I have an older 590 and would like to put the flex system on it. I cant find any info on whether you can or not. I emailed Mossberg a week ago and heard nothing back. So question is can I swap out my old fixed stock for the flex?
Start with the Bible and go from there. Man is a tribal animal and everyone has the ability to commit genocide. Thats why we frown upon miscegenation.
For a twentieth century view read The War of the World, by N Ferguson. It covers them all in last century that the OP mentioned. Also I thinks...
Let he without sin cast the first stone. I am sure that if we looked hard enough at most of you folks on here we could find a reason to prohibit. If they current administration has its way it will get easier to prohibit more folks.
That aside, as has been said before, if you cant be trusted...
