Convince me to rejoin the NRA....

JMOfartO:

I don't think any grown man concerned about the 2nd Amendment should have to be talked into joining, or rejoining, the NRA.

IF you don't think the NRA IS the "500 lb gorilla" in the U.S. when it pertains to political power in favor OF the 2nd Amendment just "google" NRA political power and see what you find.

I don't care for the constant bombarding of my mail box with solicitations, nor the constant request for early renewal, but for the price of admission I suggest any person concerned about the 2nd Amendment in the United States should be a member.

The next time an election rolls around listen and watch how much power and influence the NRA support, or lack of support for any individual up for election, or re-election might have..

Most of us spend more money in one family meal at a restaurant than we pay for yearly dues to the NRA and once we leave the building all we have to show for it is indigestion or an increased waistline.

I support the NRA, and have for decades, because while the NRA isn't perfect, it is the largest, most powerful organization in support of our 2nd Amendment rights in the United States.

Just personal opinion, no offense.

Best Wishes,

Jesse

WOW Sam quite the center of controversy lately and we all have a opinion so here is mine.

I belong to the NRA and would love to see more folks join for many reasons.
Also I have had a hate/ love relationship with them for years but they are who they are.

I belong to several shooting clubs who require you to be a ACTIVE nra member to qualify the club for insurance at a discount which would be very expensive if we had to get it from another source. It is a great deal offered from them and heck the mag is not really that bad.

I will keep my personal experiences with them to myself as I most likely have more contact with them than most others do.

I am not a member, because I could care less of their meaningless squabbles for stupid things, I'd rather support GOA or JPFO, but even then you have morons in those groups who push the 2A beyond its intention, the RKBA, and the rights of states to have militias. That is all it says, the rest is up to interpretation. Gun control in the USA is sound on paper, but in reality it never works because it goes after things people used back in the 1930s and such. More civilians have probably died by a .22 than by machine guns.
