It's hard to narrow down to five "favorites"
22 Lr
30-06
45-70
7.5x55 Swiss( because it and rifles are so accurate)
22 Hornet.

HM to 6.5x55
7x57
30-30
35rem
38-55
375H&H
458Win
300 Savage
44 rem Mag(rifle)
.223

My current fav five list:
.257 Roberts
7x57
8x57
9.3x62
.270 Weatherby Mag
But the 45-70 is graining.

My old fav five list:
30-30
30-06
.270 Win
.308 Win
.25-06 Rem

Hard to choose:
.22 lr
.222 Remington
.270 Win.
7mm-08
.358 Win. and other 35's

I've never worked with the .243 family or anything bigger then the .35 Whalen so my choices could change.

.257 Roberts -My dad's old Rem 760 in this one makes both of us look like really good shots.

.270 Win/'06 Springfield -I would be lying if I said I was a serious enough shooter to really grasp and significant difference between the two.

22-250 -Fun all day long, as far as I can shoot, won't destroy my shoulder.

7.62x39 -It's not really the round so much as the rifles that shoot them.

.308 Win -One round to be forced to do everything, this is the one.

22lr -inexpensive, fun, effective in several platforms
30-30 -comparatively inexpensive, fun and rifles that shoot it are among my favorites.
30-06 -About as versatile as they make. Effective on a broad spectrum of game animals. Great bolt, pump and auto platforms
45-70 -Tops for grin factor, VERY effective on critters even at blackpowder levels, fun to shoot.

I can't decided on the fifth... Probably a pistol caliber in a carbine.

.22 LR, .222 Remington magum, .300 Win Mag

and would like to add 6.5x47 Lapua and the .338 Lapua Magnum as well.

Have the first three in addition to the 8x57J currently. What can I say... in Europe we use wierd calibers....
