Hello,
I know it won't do a whole lot of good but, I have created a petition in response to all the closed mindedness I have see on both side of the gun control craziness as of late. The gun nazi's think that an ar15 was the cause of Sandy Hook and the NRA blamed it on video games like they always do. I am not sure if you wanted to bring some attention to my petition but if you find it to be worth your wile I would appreciate your help passing it along.

All petitions need to get 150 signatures to go public. I know it is spitting in the wind but I had to do something. I already contacted congressman and senators.

It was well worded enough that I signed it for you. Sen Warner's reply to me was along the lines of your petition - improve background checks and look at mental health issues.

You're much better off turning that into letters to your Congresspersons than starting another of a thousand petitions at whitehouse.org. The Whitehouse is already intimately familiar with the issue and isn't going to be influenced by these petitions. The people we need to influence are the elected officials from your state who are supposed to represent you. They may listen to a well constructed letter to them.
