Picked up a Marlin 336 with a mounted Burris and a Taurus 455 tracker (5 shot .45 acp revolver) from my buddy's dad. Unfortunately he was selling due to financial issues. He kept them in exceptional condition, and each probably have less than 400 rounds through them.

Last thing was a Vortex Venom to replace my TRS-25 on my Steel Challenge gun. Much faster. The TRS-25 will find it's way onto a .22 rifle, likely.

A few more .224 caliber bullets: some 50 grain soft points I’m going to try loading to .22 Magnum and .22 Hornet velocities in my bolt action .223.

New grip frame screws for my old 3 screw Super Blackhawk. I need to take it apart to clean the loading gate spring and plunger but the screws are a little buggered from a previous owner. I figured it was a good time to get some new ones.

I have been using great restraint to keep from buying anything these last few weeks, and it’s driving me crazy.
But tomorrow is another day, we’ll have to wait and see what happens.

    Ok. No more restraints.
Just found this waiting for me when I arrived at work.

I had it refurbished by The Garand Guy in NJ.
I’ll do a post on it as soon as I get home and take some good pics.
Now I need to box up another.

I don't know you personally Gunny but if a week goes by and I don't see you posting on this thread I kind of get a little worried.

Yes, I do tend to spend a good bit of money on guns and gun related stuff. The house is getting full.:)
I sent the Garand at the end of July and have been trying not to spend money these last few weeks. But I did have to spend money for back to school supplies for my son and grand kids.
May have to buy some extra Garand ammo now.

I decided to order some ammo to shoot in my newly refurbished Garand. Was going to order a few boxes, but said what the hell and ordered a can.

The M-1 is beautiful, Gunny. But what did it look like before you sent it out ? Some time ago I recall you had one that needed a lot of TLC that came from an American Legion Post or something ?

That would be the same rifle.
I don't have pics on my phone. When I get home I'll take some pics of the rifle and make a post with before and after pics.
I'm hopping that I have time to make it out to the range tomorrow.

If the house is getting full toss out food and furniture.. You can set on the tall stool with firearms underneath and pick up fast food on the way home...:)
You would not have any before photos???

IMG_7672.JPG Almost forgot about this. Just picked it up yesterday, ( Sunday ), from the local Runnings, home, farm & sporting goods store. Reloader 25 powder by Alliant because it's time to assemble some 257 Weatherby loads. Also got a pair of 12 ga. Snap Caps made by Carlson's ( The choke tube folks ). I like Runnings....... Where else can you pick up powder & snap caps on a Sunday ?
