Just ordered 1000 rounds of Geco 9mm 124 gr FMJ from Target Sport USA for $165.44, shipped to my door.
That is my problem with memberships. I would have a Costco membership if they were lower priced. The only store is a fair drive (10-12 miles), but I would like to shop there periodically.I took the plunge today and signed up for Target Sports Prime with a order of 1,000 rounds of Federal M-193. What scares me the most is the pressure to start ordering ammunition monthly now to make sure I get my $95.00 worth in free shipping.

Perspective is everything. I used to live in rural KY where I would drive to Kroger just to visit a modern grocery store and it was an hour's drive. I didn't think anything of it but it was not something I would do every day. Trip to a real mall was a couple hours. I suspect Costco is about 15 miles and would take me about 20-25 minutes to get there with normal traffic. (I was curious and did a google search on distance.) So, a little further than I thought. This is basically my best option if I dump Sam's Club which is closer due to their new policies. Our closest Costco is 30 miles away. We make the trip about every 10 days, The closest HEB, it's a Texas thing, is 30 miles the other direction. We go there about every 7 days, often we bypass that HEB to go to the Super HEB, another 15 miles down the road.
Perspective is everything. When we lived in Portland the closest Costco was 7 miles away. It took about half the time it takes us now.
I'm much rather have to drive to Costco than live in the Metromess.
