Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Just ordered a couple sets of ear muffs. And the little belt clippy things that you wear on your belt to carry them when you're not wearing them.

Zona razor saw and a chamfer/debur tool that works up to 60cal. That snider brass made from 24ga Magtech shotshells isn't gonna trim itself. 32 tpi saw was tearing up the the brass in the trim-die -- this should be better. Not that it will probably make a huge difference in performance, but the shells won't look like they were made on a hilltop overlooking the Khyber Pass.

Heading out of town for the weekend I stopped at a LGS about 3 miles from home that I never knew existed. It's a house, zoned Commercial, with no signage.
I bought one tray of SRP--all I was allowed.
At least now I can finally work up some basic loads for my unfired 350 Legend upper.

1(25rd) box of Hornady critical Defense 9mm, 1( 25rd) box of .410 American tactical target loads, 2 packets of gun swabs and ordered an Allen rifle ammo pouch that'll handle both the .410 and .45ACP loads for the Governor.

I found 500 Aguila .22 LR on the shelf at Big 5, and I picked up a nice 4” Model 67 S&W .38 and a Rossi 62 pump .22 rifle with the octagon barrel.

Stay safe.

Picked up a handful of empty chamber flags.

I visited my LGS for the first time since the pandemic hit just to see what was up. They had inventory, but probably 20-25% of the firearms they used to stock. The used gun floor racks were gone, the guns spread around on the wall racks so they didn't look empty. There were a few 1# cans of odd powder (nothing I use) but I didn't see any bullets or primers. Looked pretty grim.

image.jpg Hi GunnyUSMC big fan

I did purchase something gun related recently it was a Browning Sa 22 and paid a hefty penny for it as I felt from the pictures on GB it was in mint condition... I was wrong. It has the infamous trigger guard crack you speak of and was wondering if you could help me out with it. Other that that the guns in decent shape couple compressions here scratches there but all in all It’s pretty good. I really like the honey blonde finish. Here’s some pictures. Id like to keep from restraining it if possible.

Hi...
Managed to pick up a few more primers yesterday at one of the bigger local gun shops.
200 large pistol primers for $8.99/hundred and 200 small magnum pistol primers at $8.99/hundred. Limit per type per person per day.

Went to a small shop a few miles away that had just put a bunch of consignment stuff on a cart for sale. Buried in the pile was a bundle of taped together CCI primers in the old style white packaging. 966 small magnum pistol primers and 99 large pistol primers...cost me $20. The packaging is in excellent condition, so I am going to use the primers for some generic plinking rounds for ringing steel plates out to 25 yards.
There was a bunch of brass on that cart of consignment stuff but most of it was in calibers that I have thousands of or calibers that I don't own firearms for. Some other assorted stuff including partial boxes of jacketed bullets and assorted cast bullets for reloading along with partial boxes of handloaded and factory ammunition.
The owner of the shop said a lady had brought all of the stuff in... apparently her husband had passed away and she wanted it sold. Don't have any idea who priced the stuff...shop owner said it was all priced when she brought it in. I guess it's possible her late husband priced it out before he passed away.

Plan on getting my Blackhawk 40/10 Convertible put back together today after pre op appointments. Sent the grip frame to Chig’s Grips for some fitted panels, best price and very well done! Need to get that reattached. Waited due to wanting to do a complete breakdown and cleaning of the pistol. Then install a FO front sight and my Dead Center rear blade.

Did get my Skinner Sight mounted to my Henry Steel BB Carbine, 45LC, last night. So moving along,

Lefty

Passing an open gun shop is bad luck. So I pulled in to look at least. Found this:

1903 Colt hammerless pocket pistol, type IV. Photos may be a little lacking (poor light) but it is better than 95% blueing (perhaps better) The stamping and scroll work are clean and distinct (except the 'pony' is faint) so I'm pretty sure it has not been refinished. The bore is hard to photograph but it is really clean. No pits, no corrosive primer leade, no filth. Pistol looks to be a bureau drawer pistol.
Has wood grips, the photo shows the checkering and lack of wear. Seems to be original magazine (two tone) and no 'rub' wear.

Stopping was good luck. Perhaps Divine Providence as well.

I was gonna say no, but I did pick something up today that I ordered about a week ago, however, while there to pick it up, this was hanging on the wall and I just had to buy it.
