Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Discovered a place called Montana Bullet Works and ordered 100 hard cast bullets for the 44 Magnum. 260 gr. WFNGC's that I use for hunting loads in a 7.5" Ruger Redhawk. Usually get the same bullets but made by Cast Performance through Graf & Sons or Midway USA. Who have both been showing them as out of stock for quite a while now. Decided to give these other folks a try, and it's the same bullet weight & style and also with a gas check, so I'm hoping they shoot as well as the bullets I was getting from Cast Performance. It's the bullet I use for deer hunting and I probably have enough to practice with and still get through hunting season. Except I hate being low on reloading supplies. Which Is why last night I also ordered 8 pounds of Hodgden H-110 powder after using up almost all of the other 8 pounds of it that I purchased in the spring of 2009.

I bought these for picking up range brass… so for me, that’s as gun related as it can get. Haha

Edit: I also put a few of these dividers in to help sort some of it. Those were free though. Gonna pitch em at work, so ya I’ll take em!

Just bought 2 pounds of Winchester 244 for $19.99 a pound before sales tax. Scheels in Fargo if anyone is interested. Apparently reloading supplies are 15% off but aren't marked, but don't quote me; that was what a friend texted me when I let him know about 244 at $19.99 a pound.

In addition, I bought some 308 Win Hornady 165 gr SST Superperformance, Nosler 150 gr ballistic tip, and some Hornady 150 gr Whitetail for some testing. I decided to drag my AR-10 from the gun safe. The gun/barrel lacked the precision I was hoping for when I bought it, so it has been pretty much been sitting in my safe ever since, with an occasional trip to the range :uhoh:. Finally got around to contacting the manufacturer and they requested I shoot and record various factory ammo and send the gun to them for review with the targets and results to see if their results are similar. Based on the response, I'm confident the manufacturer will do what they can to make this gun an option for me to hunt with at mid-range distances.

Thanks for the report on Montana Bullet Works. I was about ready to give up on Cast Performance bullets. They are good and they must be selling lots of them, because they always seem to be sold out of what I'm needing. Looking forward to the same style bullet from the Montana Bullet folks.

I have bought quite a few of their bullets and always been pleased. Not the cheapest but worth it. They will size to your specs.
