True to an extent, but money does talk. If those of us who have a bone to pick with the NRA; be it Wayne, their non-gun politics, and/or anything else. Can get them acting the way people want them to. Especially if their hurting for money like it seems now.

I couldn't care less about what the NRA does to promote hunting and shooting sports. Its core function, as far as I am concerned, is advocating for the 2nd Amendment.

Wayne's shenanigans have made the NRA ineffective to a fatal degree. In fact, it's fast becoming a laughing stock. Even Trump has said that "nobody is afraid of the NRA any more."

Wayne & co.must be ousted. Ordinary methods won't work to accomplish this, because he's stacked the deck to preclude them. If it takes a boycott of contributions until Wayne is gone, then that's what must be done.

Well there you have it, get involved. Look into the NRA firearms instructors ladder, become an instructor. NRA instructors are 90% self-defense.

btw Y'all go ahead and fret about NRA donations but I am pushing for NRA donations every single day and have been for years, I have no affiliation to the NRA except that myself and my dad are/were life members. I know I reach more folks every day than will ever post in this thread. Sorry but the mission is greater than any one individual.

Please. Seriously, please. Use critical thinking skills and use the time it takes to mindlessly bash a “liberal” or (liberal source) and look up some undisputed facts, however small and basic they are, and then form an opinion.

There are many firm “no-gos” I have with liberals. More with conservatives. I will still accept facts from either one about many topics because, well, facts are facts, and one should be able to know the difference and not blindly trust, or dismiss, information based on political ideology. The left doesn’t have a monopoly on mistruth.

If one keeps winnowing down their sources of information based on strict political ideology he or she will find themselves in a very small tribe - of one.

Wayne Lapierre is a bad steward of my organization and unworthy of future donations. Chris Cox was just as bad with some of his rhetoric. So was Oliver North. The NRA needs to be gutted...er...filleted. It needs to be filleted like a salmon and the whole useless carcass thrown back to the circle of life and only the best part kept: Gun rights. Training. Youth programs. Apolitical information about why citizens should care about responsible firearms ownership and use.

The days of the big gun lobby are dead. The fight is in the courts and other organizations can effectively do that if the NRA can’t survive due to massive failures of leadership.

Well said! I agree totally. I am letting my membership lapse and look at the other two orgs, Paid the NRA for nothing for years and was always proud of the card in my billfold. No more! All I got for the past few years was to pay for Lapierre's luxurious life style. I'm out! No flame comments please!
