That was a pretty good episode, me and the wife enjoyed it alot. Glad to see Will go, reminded me to much of...oh...crap the guy from last season that quit...can't remember his name. Greg shooting his target actually made me giggle. I don't like Greg, but I like him better now, lol. That elimination was one of the best I've seen in terms of really getting me excited. Played out like a movie or a book. Love watching them shoot the older weapons too.

Ok that made me want a Five seveN. Everyone seemed to make that pistol look like it was the easiest thing in the world to shoot. Go Chris!

And the final challenge? Epic.

PS they ran Top Guns at 1am tonight and Colby didn't handle the 5.7 so easily.

Thats because Colby is more of a get stuck on an island with a bunch of other people and come up second kind of guy :) I enjoy the Top Guns show just a little more than Top Shot because its not drama drama drama, and Colby isn't forcefully acting and yelling everything he says like everyone's life depends on his next words.

He's actually a pretty fair shot.

Seriously I blame Top Shot/Top Guns for making me want a FiveseveN now. Never really gave it a serious thought previously.

Also I didn't realize the FS ejected forward like that. Very slick design.

I'm in the same boat as you. The fn five seven pistol looks like a blast! And you can get an extension to to mag to hold 30rds. I really want one

I blame Splinter Cell for making me want a Five-seven, I blame the price tag for keeping me from buying one

That was fun! Not just the MG challenge but the final too. I found myself thinking 'group them in 3's and 4's like phone numbers. I Did the exercise in my head several times only to forget the middle set. Can't imagine doing that under duress.

I was thinking group them in like colors, red lightbulb, red lantern, black clock, black record, etc

The hard part was the short time between revealing what the challenge was going to be and when they had to shot it...not much time to think it through.

I think Kyle had the right idea to spend the time to memorize the objects before starting...but having to go back to close the box seems to have really thrown him off.

Augie's idea of going back-n-forth seemed too time consuming...he just made it back top get one shot off. He was saved by Kyle's confusion.

I'm sure neither of them considered how few targets would need to be hit to win, otherwise they cold have just really memorized 5, made the shots and stopped.

Maybe Augie was on the right track, this was another accuracy challenge cloaked as a speed challenge...because wrong hits counted against you.

...and how cool was it during the Elimination Challenge when Gary, who hadn't hit the center of a target all during the show, did it twice to avoid going to Elimination

TS is a great show. I was hoping that Kyle would win, but them's the breaks. I was originally surprised at how much my wife enjoys this show. Some of the challenges look soooo fun.

Are they going to finish up the season next week?

THAT should prove interesting!!!

As of right now, my money would be on Chris to win his match, and Greg to go home..

Ok, I really just want Greg to go home............his demeanor irritates me

My wife has wanted Greg to go home for weeks now. Ever since "I can't shoot my friend's target" and the incident with the 7th grade Friendship "Bracelet."

Every time he came back from elimination, my wife was like :fire: Guess he can shoot, though, since me made it to the finale.

I agree with your wife. I don't understand how he keeps coming back from elimination, though. His performance is less than average during the challenges, and that is why he goes to elimination, but he always comes back.

Well he actually performed well this week. What I can't stand about him is the way constantly "downs" everyone else as far as performance. Always has something snide to say about Chris especially like "I don't see Chris being able to be anywhere near me on this challenge" when Chris has been consistently 100% BETTER than Greg on EVERY challenge until this last one. I swear he acts like a stuck up teenage cheerleader.

I see Chris starting to falter a bit now that the finals are coming up. The pressure is going to crack his performance. I HOPE that I am incorrect on this assumption but I kind of just feel it coming. The kid has a ton of heart and natural ability so I really hope I am wrong. To even make it this far is a true testament to not only his talent but his character.

Once again, the discussion at the house of who would be chosen in the elimination challenge did not match what went down at the range. Gary said right off the bat that he had done the worst with the Browning 1919 and essentially volunteered to be in the elimination. Then it was just a matter of choosing between Augie and Kyle.

Then at the voting range, Augie winds up with three shots in his target and Gary with one, and Gary is last to shoot. He can’t shoot his own target. Rather than putting his round into Augie’s target and going straight to elimination, he shoots Kyle’s. This puts him and Kyle into a tie, which is broken by shooting at a blank target with the person closest to the center being safe. Kyle loses by 1/8”, and Gary (who had been at the bottom of the individual challenge) is safe.

Kyle made a tactical error by his inclination to “protect” former Red team members. Gary had been on the Red team so Kyle shot Augie’s target (even though Augie had performed better than Gary). Gary had no such compunctions, and shot Kyle’s target to give himself a chance of getting out of the elimination, and prevailed. Depending on your viewpoint you could either say that Gary was being pragmatic , or that he stabbed Kyle in the back. I tend towards the former – Gary recognized that the team mindset was obsolete, and Kyle wound up screwing himself.

The shootoff itself was really tough, and I had thought Augie’s strategy of doing half at a time was a sure loser with the severe time constraint. But the penalty for shooting wrong targets made the difference.

Augie was the last to shoot. He shot Gary's target saying he wanted to see them shoot it out to see who went against him.

My wife thinks that he is always trying to go to elimination, just so that he can win and get the bass pro gift card. I don't know one way or the other, but I'm rooting for Augie now that Kyle is gone.
