Wow. I must have missed that résumé point when they introduced him. How did he even make it to the show?

Denny apparently competed in live ammo competitions too, but his main event in shooting sports was with blanks

Denny Chapman 41 Cowboy Mounted Shooting competitor, horse trainer, Wild West entertainer, former benchrest rifle and USPSA/IPSC three-gun competitor

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cowboy_Mounted_Shooting

requires the riding of a horse to negotiate a shooting pattern where targets are engaged with theatrical-stage-blank ammunition that is certified to break a target balloon within twenty feet and not beyond twenty feet. (No bullets are used.)

I believe the load is coarse powder in a crimped shell.

as said in another thread, a running-and -obstacle western Shoot-house could be fun if just a way to pop balloons noisily.

But I agree that it's not as strong an indicator as someone who does trick shooting with live ammo for a living.

Wish I knew to apply for the first season before it had millions of viewers!

Gotta say, it'd be cool to see Joey Dillon on that show, he seems to be a pretty impressive shot.
