When Chris told Kelly "not helping" during the challenge, it had nothing to do with wind. Chris just doesn't like Kelly very much and his advice (while meant to be helpful) was very much unwelcome
That is what I picked up when Chris said it too...I could tell from his tone, but then I know Chris personally

Kelley was my guy to win this. Very bummed to see him leave. But Adam, good job! It was clearly your day and not his. Nicely done!

I now pick Gunny or Chris C. to win. Hoping for Gunny more though, as long as he doesnt get another FAL in the end;)

Do they purposely set up the range to give you guys a crosswind all the time? Sure seems like it from watching the flags....

As someone who has spent a long time in and out of the Santa Clarita Valley (where I think all seasons were filmed, but definitely this one)...I don't think they could avoid it if they tried. Particularly up in those hills!

In real life...as far as I am concerned...it's always windy! Of course here in OK, we don't have windy days....we have "not windy" days....LOL. That's when you notice something strange in the air and go....hey..."there is no wind! I should be at the lake"

I greatly enjoy the show, with the exception of certain dramafilled episodes of season 2 with the assistant football coach that quit. I hope there are no other egotistical quitters in the future. I understand getting an injury, or having a family crisis, but quitting over being sent to the elimination?

This season seems the best; at the very least we know more about all the contestants.

I agree that this season is the best, but I am completely biased. Ha!

But seriously, not a bad shooter in the house. Top notch competition, great sportsmanship, and celebrating some amazing shots together!

I'm wondering how they are going to follow up such a good season. Going back to teams and drama? That won't cut it for me. I hope they keep this format going forward where you shoot to stay in instead of playing a popularity contest.

Here is a idea. Make it so that every competition aggregates to a total score. So this way every shot counts....

Here is another.. try and put in some really tough ringer shots and tie a prize to it. So it's like....well..if you hit this, you might win something, but it might cause you to lose the competition. Then we can see some other types of strategy.

I agree 100%! It should be about shooting skill and good sportsmanship. That's why this season has been SO much more enjoyable.... I HATE the "Survivor" type drama garbage...

The Hotchkiss was a cartridge with blackpowder in the case. Not sure how much by weight. But the projectile was 1lb of machined aluminum, and it cost $50 a shot!

That struck me as strange, kind of an artillery gallery load.
The only cannon I ever fired was loaded with zinc shot, 17 lbs in a nominal 20 pounder.

As accurate as they were, I'd say $50 would be worth every penny.
What a fun way to blow a paycheck ,,, no way to stop at one shot! Best to leave the debit card home and limit the cash you take for certain.:D

The Hotchkiss and the full auto Tommy gun are right at the top of my "cool" weapons list used on the show.

I really can't describe in words how cool it was to shoot that cannon and to take a top guy out in head-to-head elimination. The sound of two cannons firing simultaneous, and the pressure you feel from knowing its neck-and-neck at that point is incredible!!

One thing I can't stress enough is that my cannon was the real deal - 1902 from the Battle of Manilla. A real piece of history. And the bore was so clean, the action so smooth, the breech locking mechanism so incredible solid yet simple to operate. Just WOW.

The rules required us to clean the barrel after every shot. I don't know if its because of the black powder residue or because of the historical value of each gun. Maybe they didn't want any competitor trying to gain a huge time advantage by deliberately skipping a cleaning cycle, or if the half dozen steps it takes to cycle and clean the gun just made for a more interesting show. But those were the absolute rules we were given.

This real truth about the time and money it takes to play this game on TV never really gets addressed. We are talking about up to 6 weeks !! No one has that kind of vacation time, and even if you did it could still jeopardize your entire career to leave for that long. Not to mention the emotion of having to be away from your wife and kids. In season 1 we were in total isolation - no TV, no computer, no books or newspapers, no phone calls home. Nothing!

We are bound by a non-disclosure agreement to not talk about the terms of the contract, but I thinks its fair to say that everyone but the 1 winner will lose a LOT of money to participate. Reality TV is not bound by any screen actor guild or tv union rules, through some dopey game show loophole. You are competing to win your prize, so they don't have to pay you anything for your time.

So when people try to judge your actions or morality on TV, they are really incapable of understanding what goes into these decisions, or what is happening behind the scenes as the camera only catches 1 hour for each 3 days that pass. In shooting terms, think about how had you would try to win if you signed up for a match that required you to go into total isolation for 6 weeks, and had a $10,000 entry fee, and you get nothing for second place. That kind of stuff weighs heavily on how you will vote in eliminations in past seasons.

That is why we were so happy to see this All Star season be purely performance based. This is the way it should always have been, and I just wish it was getting more attention and more ratings for the truly spectacular show that it is this time around. We really had a great time on the All Star series, and I hope that is coming across on the TV !!

Adam the clay slayer!!!! Good shooting sir. I love that challenge, seem's like once y'all got into a groove, it was all she wrote.

I don't remember his name. A kid that was an air rifle champion won top shot. I hope they bring him back. The kid was athletic and could shoot anything that launched a projectile.

Once again a great show. Congratulations Adam, I'm curious as to what choke and shot y'all were using for this event. I noticed that most of the competitors misses were on those second shot sinkers. Those are the ones that give me a fit too.

One of the things I really like about this season: While I do have my favorites, there isn't really a bad competitor among them. At this point in the competition only one of my favorites is still in (Who doesn't like Brian Zins?)

The other thing I like is that there is quite a bit less cliquishness than in some previous seasons. While I understand Esprit, and I respect people that have served, but I dislike the "us vs them" that sometimes develops.
