Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Couple weeks ago I traded a M4 upper for a A2 upper. I'd planned on using it later on since I'd just finished a couple retro A1 rifles.

That thought lasted a couple days, till I found a 14.7" barrel for it. I already had the old school stock, A2 grip, and a set of handguards for it. I used a stamped lower I had a 7" upper on. Kinda bummed that it measures right at 16". Seems a waste for a SBR lower, would be best to pin and weld the flash hider or have an inch cut off the barrel. I have a A.R.M.S. #16A carry handle mount coming so I can put my Aimpoint on it.

I swung through “Swedes” (now known as GI pawn and loan) in Grand Island NE yesterday. They are Hornadys outlet; picked up 200 110 vmax seconds($20/100) and 200(the limit) federal gold medal match large rifle primers. Also some nylon bore brushes in 9mm/357, 30 cal rifle, and… one more I don’t remember. The best part? All but $2 were on gift cards…

A first Bore Snake, because I get tired of bending the cleaning rods to get a patch into the chambers of 3-4 rifles. Have never seen the reptile used in person.

Approx. how often does one clean a Snake in the washing machine? :scrutiny: Or how dirty do you allow them to become?
Don't clean them in any washing machine you wash clothes in, they're covered in lead. I soak mine in a bucket with hot water and Dawn for a couple hours, then rinse.

A whole estates worth of reloading stuff. Four presses, two powder measures, a dispenser, case prep center, tools, tools, dies, bullets, trimmers. My pickup full twice. Some may appear in the sale section once I get it sorted out.
Brass by the bucketfull. A few things not identified yet.

Couple of things. I went by the LGS nearest me that sells reloading supplies, ended up buying a 4 pound jug of Power Pistol. It was the only size he had and only had one of them. That stung a bit, it was $220.

Next thing was at the gun show today. I took a 15 year-old 5" Ruger 22/45 MkIII target pistol to sell, and sold it before I even got inside. I got a good enough price for it, within $50 of what I paid for it back when. I was hoping to find some leather goods; holsters for my Ubert SA revolvers, but only one leatherworker there and he didn't have any stock. So I went looking for a replacement for the Ruger. I liked how well it shot and its accuracy, but the looks were, meh. I wanted a stainless Hunter with the 7" barrel. Lo and behold I found one, it was also a MkIII. I wasn't thrilled with that, because I always had a really hard time disassembling the 22/45. but the price was right and I got the box and all accessories and manual with it. It looked new, but inspecting the breech it was sort of dirty. I bought it anyway, took it home and tore it apart and gave it a good bath. I was surprised and happy to find it went back together much easier than the old one. Can't wait to get it to the range and get it dirty again.
