Kentucky pistol and Pennsylvania “Dixie” rifle, both 45 caliber. Also, the pistol in my handy loading stand that makes the process smoother, quicker, and less likely to scratch the wood.

Yeah, Maint, I DID go back to the pawn shop to get that Pocket Ace, and it was sold! Missed a chance to add a BP gun to the safe, and join a new club, for $49.95...So, I'll mentally add that $49.95 to the fund to buy the Harper's Ferry .58 I really want!

Steve, I really like your Hopkins and Allen underhammer pistol (good design) with the long barrel and specialized target sights, with the exception of the pistol grip, but I am sure it has a distinct purpose for you. I am not denigrating it a bit because I have seen photos of custom, one-of-a-kind target pistols (single-shot or multi-shot) that are built for one purpose: to put as many shots close together into the 10 ring as possible, slow fire. For example:



I have photos of many others.

There must be a small fraternity of shooters who do this, and as I am not a party to this type of shooting, I would like to learn more, but could not do it on my old man budget.

There must be an organization that sets the rules for the action type (flintlock, percussion, or centerfire) for competition and there appears to be nothing on this forum or other forums I visit concerning this.

If you have more info, start a new thread here and we will all learn more.

I have three. The flint gun is a .50 from Traditions.
The middle gun is an H&A boot pistol in .45.
The gun just above, my favorite, was made by Bob Worthington at Greyhaven Arms. Another .50.
