A High Standard Sentinel-107 9 shot 22lr. made in 1966.Ruger Sp-101 8 shot 22lr.,S&W Model-10 38 special made in 1977,S&W .357 Model-66 new version and North American Arms Sheriff Model-1860 22lr./22magnum.

Top right appears to be a model 10 in nickel. The 64 would be much less shiny stainless steel like the Ruger SP101 below it. Notice that the hammer and trigger are case hardened rather than satin nickel plated as was standard on all S&W SS guns of that era.

This is a common thought that comes up when discussing large bore handguns and small game like rabbits. It makes sense why people might think that way, but experience has shown it not to be the case.

The fact is that when you use a cast projectile, there is actually very little damage. Just clean cookie cutter type holes.

That is what I figured looking at my "pencil" barrel 64. However, with S&W I have discovered "never say never".
