"Great jumping jackelopes, Angus Lincoln, that is extraordinaire!"

I thought the same thing when I saw it in the used case. I had been on the lookout for a 3" K frame for quite some time. Every once in a while, I find myself in the right place at the right time. It was made in 1994 and it seems S & W is now offering it in their 2008 catalog but only in .38 special. They list it at $1200!!! Thank God for used guns or I wouldn't own many.

My first attempt at posting here. Here are a couple from my modest collection.

.45 Colt anyone?

And yes, I really do have two of the ultra rare, Model 26 Kit Guns! (oops.... correction on model number)

:neener:

Yup..... though there's at least one like it that came from the factory....

I've just spend almost two days, on and off, enjoying this thread. And I just joined THR so I could add a few of my own.

A new Model 21:

...and a 629-1 I've used for about 20 years:

...and my first handgun of any sort:

In 1967 at the ripe old age of 16 I walked in with cash and out with this Bearcat and holster. Forty-one years later, after having to negotiate a few re-swaps, I've still got it. You can't do that sort of thing anymore.

Those and these were made last weekend. I expect that I'll use a slower film this weekend and do some more.

A Model 34 that was carried (by someone else) for about 30 years in Alaska:

And a couple of new-ish J-Frames that I carry where my CCWs work. You can see the flags are gone and the hammers bobbed:

These were made with Ilford Delta 3200 film at ASA 1600 using a Pentax 6x7 of '80s vintage. Tomorrow I break out the Horseman 6x9 view camera and will see if there's some 120 Tri-X in the fridge.

Got part way thru this thread and couldn't stand it. At 48 years old I bought my first wheelgun today.

Ruger Blackhawk convertible, .357/38 to go with my lever gun and a 9mm cylinder with it too. Too much fun!

Another 629-1 I finally picked up on Friday. Grips are Eagle "Secret Service" in ebony, thinned down substantially.

Another view of same. This time in a rig I made up about twelve years ago, the belt of which seems to no longer fit my girth.

Freedom Arms Boot Gun I picked up in a swap many years ago. I made the grips from a small chunk of mesquite burl found loose on a burned-over mesa. It's got both cylinders, the yellow velvet bag for the one not installed, and the plastic zip case too. I traded off a fully-engraved mini-revolver prototype for it, so I'd have something to shoot. On a good day with .22LR and using both hands I could shoot in the low 90s at 25-yard slowfire (this was back in the '80s when my eyes were good and I was competing). Made a few bucks doing that down at the police range.

That tears it, my next purchase is going to be a wheelie, just so I can join in on this thread.

Why don't the other boards have equivalent photo threads yet anyway?

I'm not half to photographer as some here, but here's a shot of my S&W snubbies.
