  • Interchangeable magazine wells for use of common Ruger® and Glock® magazines. Ships with SR-Series Pistol and Security-9® magazine well installed and an additional magazine well accepting Glock® magazines is included. Ruger American Pistol® magazine well is available at ShopRuger.com.

  • Easy takedown enables quick separation of the barrel/forend assembly from the action for ease of transportation and storage. Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back and verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart.
  • Reversible magazine release and reversible charging handle to support ambidextrous use or one-handed control manipulation while maintaining a proper firing grip.
This answers some folks' wish list for Ruger to reintroduce a pistol caliber carbine and adds the takedown capability for compact storage and transportation. How well it will perform is yet to be seen, but let's hope it is a reliable and durable workhorse.

I definitely want one. I have wanted a carbine that would use Glock 17 and 19 magazines. I owned a Keltec Sub 2K for a while, but found the gun unpleasant and cheap feeling. this looks like it will be a nice carbine.

If them make it in 40S&W and an adapter so it can use Springfield XD magazines I might be tempted.

Still ugly though...

Kriss makes this in 10mm taking G20 mags. They make a shorter bbl as well.

I am holding out for the .45 version. That way I only need to shoot them once. :neener:

Since I have nuttin' else 9mm, that's where I'm am also. It would go well with my 1911s. My LGS quoted me about the same price as the link bearcreek provided.

Very tempting...I'd especially think our girls (ages 13 and almost 15) would find it more easy to manage off hand than their 6920s. My fear is if I put out the $$$, the cheap and plentiful 9mm would somehow dry up, as if on schedule...

Answer: Be prepared for handloading your ammo. :)
