Most everyone has bought that one gun took it to the range fired it a few times and realized that your new gun is nothing more than a club. Heres my list.

1. Taurus 24/7 in 40 S&W- too strong of recoil spring didn't cylce fast enough and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn

2. Remington 710 in 30/06 - the bolt kept catching while cycling and was not smooth

3. Glock 23 - couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and would at random trigger pulls it would decide to fire 2 rounds instead of one

4. Ithaca 12 gauge pump - at round number 2 the gun completely locked up

Numbers 1 and 3 are the number one reasons why i will not own a gun chambered in 40 S&W.

H&R Model 732. (.32 s&w long). I didn't actually buy it - it was given to me last December. It was made in 1972, and never fired. I decided to shoot it a couple of weeks ago. I should have left it unfired. I couldn't shoot it double-action at all. I know I'm not the strongest person on earth, but I literally could not pull the trigger double action. So I cocked the hammer - also not an easy task - and shot it single action. Fired 12 rounds through it and decided to quit while I was ahead. My trigger finger was sore for 3 days afterwards. Is it possible to strain a finger muscle?

Burgo Model 106S. (.22lr 8-shot revolver). I inherited this one. I haven't fired yet but this one has been used. Even without having tried it, I believe it's a good candidate for this thread. Weighs a ton, trigger appears to be similarly difficult, and I was given instructions on how to test it so that if it blew apart I wouldn't get too badly hurt. Honestly, that doesn't inspire me to rush it to the range.

FEG ACK .45. It worked well for a few hundred rounds, and then developed some serious timing issues.

I'd say the CZ52, but I think "lemon" describes the way most of them work without replacing parts.

I'd say my 12ga Charles Daly semi-auto.

It likes to feed 2 shells at the same time after nearly every shot and sometimes wont fully eject the shell, just kicks is sideways and jams again...

S&W sigma 9mm would fire the first round then ftf every time

Raven .25 the name says it all

Lorin .380 same as above

The CPO Sig Sauer P229 in .40 that I bought, and the Rossi .357 revolver

The Sig shoots, but for the money, it's got enough little things that irk me
- won't chamber the first round by thumbing the slide release (even after replacing the recoil spring)
- doesn't always chamber first round with slingshot slide release
- won't hold open after last shot (haven't replaced the mag spring, yet)
- won't work with the 9mm conversion barrel I bought (yes, I bought the conversion, rather than the 9mm replacement barrel; even tried a 9mm mag)

After all I'd heard about Sig, and after spending so much (for me), I figured it would work better than either my Taurii; I was wrong.

The Rossi lasted something like 15shots (12 of .38, and 3 .357) before it broke. Fortunatley, Cabelas was cool enough to give me a full refund.

I won a Davis industries derringer from a banquet tried to shoot the damn thing and I could not pull the trigger it was all locked up or had a 50lb trigger pull So a gun that was free cost me $55 just to shoot still don't like it. Gotta add my PT 1911 it broke but I did get a refund so not that angry anymore.

My Lemons:

Rossi 38 colt python clone.
Forcing cone cracked after 200rnds!
(no +P, don't say it. I know :) )

Ruger Mark III Target
Jammed every other round, failure to feed and or eject.
I know these are particular about what they eat. That
was the only thing anyone ever could suggest to do.
Traded it in on a Walther P99. If I ever feel the urge again
I'll get a Browning Buckmark.

I've said it before and will say it again: Sig Sauer Mosquito. I finally had it worked over by a good gunsmith and it functions much better but still far from perfect.

Mine was a very early model, though. I purchased it in Oct 2005 and am told the newest ones are a lot better.

Closest thing Ive ever had to a lemon was a SIG P6 that wouldnt feed hollowpoint ammo. It never jammed unless I was using HP's, or a ProMag magazine.

I had an AK74 jam on me ONCE. Even then, it was probably a combination of having never been cleaned, being bump fired at the time, and using crappy ammo. Even then, a swift yank on the handle and she was ready to go again.

Ruger 22/45 Mk III -- will only eat CCI Minimag, and only the solid ones, at that; chokes furiously on the hollow-points. Doesn't group; it patterns.

Henry .22 Magnum lever rifle -- overheats outrageously, lousy accuracy, junky sights, and had a floating cross-pin in the bolt that would catch on the inside of the receiver, making it ratchet occasionally while cycling the lever.

By far the worst was my AMT Back-up 45. I spent more $ on smith work than I did on the gun! It works now, but with special rounds that I have to seat just a bit more to avoid a jam.

How about three? :uhoh::rolleyes:

Taurus PT945 (1995). Malfunctioned on second shot ever fired, two trips back to Taurus USA, got worse. Traded at loss for SIG P220.

Para-Ordnance P12-45 (1999). Seldom fired more than two consecutive shots without a stoppage, chewed and burned a hole in the web of my hand. Traded at loss for Glock 30.

SIG Revolution Carry (2007). Malfunctioned on second shot ever fired (notice a trend here?), broke extractor, shed internal slide parts on range floor. To Sigarms' credit, it was repaired promptly with shipping paid and replaced after the third repair. But then the replacement gun broke, this time the thumb safety, as well as the front night sight failing. After it was repaired I sold it.

My first gun was a Cobra Patriot .45ACP. I took it shooting the day I bought it. I had a jam every round. Well, more of a lock-up. It would feed but the trigger would not reset after a shot was fired. Everyshot. I'd have to pull the slide back about an 8th for an inch to reset the trigger. I went right back to the store I purchased it from, and got rid of it.

I have a Lewis Machine & Tool piece of $H!+.

Just kidding. :neener::D:p:D:neener: It's a perfect operator.

I've been lucky not to have ever bought a lemon.

old savage model 7a .22 semi-auto rifle. you distinctly hear the shot, a pause, then the bolt advancing the next round....
suspect it is a weak buffer spring

well im still young, but in the 25 or so guns ive owned I havent had a lemon yet. I noticed a S&W Sigma listed above, it was indeed my most hated gun, but it functioned fine, all my guns have worked fine.
