I have several favorite 9mm's

Depends on clothing and what I want to carry. By far the easiest one to conceal is my Kahr PM9, but for sheer enjoyment my Walther PPS, Beretta PX4, XD9sc, or Beretta PX4sc perform just as well.

Benelli M2 Tactical 12 gauge
Beretta CX4 Storm 9mm
Beretta PX4 9mm, trijicon
Beretta PX4sc 9mm, trijicon
Beretta 84F .380
Xd9sc, Tru Glo TFO
XD45c, Tru Glo TFO
XDm .40
Kahr PM9
Kahr P380
S&W 910 9mm
S&W 340PD .357 mag
multiple S&W 38 and 357 revolvers
Winchester 22short/22LR pump, patent 1896 (gift from Granddad 55 yrs ago)
Astra double barrel 16 gauge

My choice is the EAA Witness Elite Match --- a slim Hi-Cap that holds 18 rds. --- also LOVE the fact you can get upper conversions for it in .22 , 9mm , 10mm , 38 Super , 40S&W , and .45acp;

For me its the M&P 9. That gun is a real piece of work. It's reliable as my glocks, comfortable to shoot, I shoot it better than anthing else and it looks really cool too!

If you don't have a BHP, it's one of those "gotta have's", IMO. I bought mine new in the mid/late 80's. It's Belgian-made and looks just like the one in the lower left of the photo kentucky smith posted on page one of this thread. Classic perfection, flawless function, feels so good to shoot.

I've been tossing around the idea of some used police trade-in from the likes of SOG or CDNN. I've been eyeing the S&W 5609...

A Police-trade 5904 that I bought from Cole's Distributing is my second favorite. It made me appreciate 3rd gen Smiths. It's a really well-executed pistol.

There are certainly a lot of great 9s to pick from, but the BHP and the sleeper 5904 are my personal favorites.

I've become more of a fan of the 9mm lately, specifically "3rd generation" S+W's - and more specifically, the single-stack models. I enjoy my 3913 and a pair of 3953's. If I were to add (and I probably will!:p) I'll keep my eyes open for a good deal on a CS9 or 3906.

I have two that I carry:

A Glock 19 and a Kahr MK9 for deep concealment. When I buy another 9mm it will be a G17 or G34.

I have a G17, a M9 and a CZ75B. IMO CZ 75B is the best because I cannot own a P01 here. That said the P01 should be the best 9mm out there.

Beretta 92FS

I have had the pleasure of owning several good 9mm's. Among my favorites are the S&W 5906 (6906 for concealment), the Glock's, Sig Sauer, and Browning BDM. Despite its detractors, my hands down favorite will continue to be the formidable Beretta 92 series.

I have carried the Beretta in the military, as a Border Patrol Agent (the .40 cal 96D Brigadier), and as a WA state trooper. It is also my favorite shooter for IDPA and what I tend to carry the most.

Of all the handguns I have ever owned I would have to say that it has had the least number of malfunctions, even compared to the Glock. It will shoot anything I feed it, has very light recoil, and with close to 20,000 rounds through my stainless 92FS, has experienced nothing more than a jam attributable to a magazine. This particular one is probably the most accurate handgun I have, and is direct out of the box.

The biggest fault I can find with the Beretta is the weight, but seeing that it is generally the home gun or truck gun, I don't carry it much. While I do from time to time, it's not the best suited for concealed carry. When I carry it in the military it is just a small piece of a much bigger load so it's really not a bother. If it's on a duty belt, same situation, it's just not too bad.

Be aware. Shoot accurately.
