What absolute piece of trash! Due to my nice guy nature I have to inform you of your mistake on getting that thing, however I feel its only right that you let me take it from you and dispose of it properly!

In all seriousness thats a gorgeous gun!

Shoot, I messed up so bad I even got this nice pair of grips for it! :)

Eaglestroker I love the looks of your mountain gun now to find a real jm stamped marlin 1894 in 45 colt to pair with it would be awesome

I found this model 65 with a 3" bbl. I got rid of the Pachmyer grips and added the correct S&W grips along with a Tyler's T-grip. I also found an old Master's hand made leather holster for that complete early '70s look.

What does no M mean?

Early 686s (No-Dash and Dash-1 models) were recalled due to instances where the primers of some Magnum loads would flow back into the firing pin hole and lock up the gun. The guns were modified with a smaller diameter hammer nose and a new firing pin bushing with a smaller hole to "correct" the problem. After modification, the inside of the frame was stamped with an "M" to indicate that the modification was done.

So..."No M" is an original, unmodified specimen. Some like it, some love it, some don't, and others are worried stiff about it.

Pic Thread! Here's another shot of my CS-1 "No-M"
