My old Ruger "Old Army" Bought in 1972 Went thru 2 ex-wives. Didn't see it
for 17 years. Got it back. Won Nationals with it in 1992 Been shot thousands
of times, laid out all night in rain. Really went thru hell. It's retired now.

There's just something about the look of a well worn, but cared for, revolver. I LOV'EM. I'd rather have an old K-Frame with the blueing worn off the edges, muzzle, and cylinder gap, than a brand new high polished pistol. Except for maybe a Python, I do covet one of those. (Everyone needs a Barbeque gun.)

3" mod 36-1 heavy barrel. My understanding is that this model came to be at the request of NYPD firearms trainer Frank McGee. At any rate, I love it.

only one year- 1990~!

Deceased father in law's US Navy issued S&W Victory Model and accouterment. He was a Navy bomber pilot during WWII.




1947 Colt Detective Special...worn, reblued and worn again. Once issued by some unknown police department.

S&W and Iver Johnson .38 from the early 1900s

I've posted these puppies before, but since I love them so...thought I would do it again.

Top is my Model 2 Smith and Wesson top break, 5 shot, manufactured date about 1905. The weapon was carried by Van Wert County(Ohio) Sheriff Fred J Hott when he as in office from the1905-1910 era. This weapon is in excellent condition and after some research and opinions, I finally have started firing it...using Remington Center Fire 146 grain S&W ammo{about 150 rounds thus far}.

Bottom gun is a Iver Johnson .38, also top break, 5 shot, manufactured about 1900. This weapon was carried by the northern Indiana and Ohio outlaw Marvin Kuhns. Kunhs was dispatched{that would be shot dead} by Sheriff Hott and his posse' in June of 1907 in northern Van Wert County

This gun has not been fired for years(probably last by Kuhns) and although still in nice/fair condition, I would not trust it...but a historical keeper, none-the-less.
