First id like to give credit for the idea of this match to GVNWST and KROCHUS and their respective matches. I got their approval as well as TALIV'S from my ar match poll and figured why not.
This match is for AR15 variants in all calibers.

LEADERBOARD.gif
scoreboard brought to you by THR member 1858

There will be 4 classes for this competition as follows:

Class #1. Will be from 50yds, standing, freehand, iron sights, 10 shots.
Class #2. Will be from 50yds, bench fired or prone, iron sights, 10 shots.
Class #3. Will be from 100yds, bench fired or prone, iron sights, 10 shots.
Class #4. Will be from 100yds, bench fired or prone, magnified or non-magnified optical sights, 10 shots.

THE RULES

You will fire 10 shots onto the approved target set at the intended range. Groups will be scored by a smallest size wins for all 10 shots.

The target used will be a "paper" plate, you can paint, color or put any dots you wish inside this target but the "group" shot must be on this plate. For those of you who's range rule prohibit the use of a plate, a range approved target may be used. just draw a paperplate sized circle on the approved range target. Inside of this circle will be treated as a paper plate.

You will shoot 10 shots onto the plates adhering to the rules outlined above. When you have a target you're satisfied with you need to make note on the target the following information

username
group size
firearm & sighting system
ammunition
date

then take a pic of it and post it here, if you would post a pic of the rifle used as well.

You may submit as many targets as you wish provided one of three things
1. the new group betters the last (leave the old pic up though)
2. the new group is for a different class
3. It was shot with another firearm

The cutoff date for submissions is July 4th

Please please submit targets even if you don't think they'll win as the information on how well what shoots may be valuable to other members

LOL, dont you just love how i wait till you sold that stainless heavy target barrel to do a tournament?

my plan is coming together beautifully (dracula laughter)

well, being that you, me, and dave are all shooting basically the same barrel right now, finally, after so long of wondering, we can finally see that im better than you.

(helz is a buddy of my brother and me and we go shoot a lot)

I know that this does not have all of the info required so if you dont want to count it thats fine I just thought I would submit it anyway

You are so nice...

lol, ya, he hasnt called me yet so he prolly aint read it.

he lives about 5 minutes south of me, so if i come home from work tommorow, and my two dogs are shaved bald or something, i will know he saw it. lol

he might qualify as a prankster.

very nice weapon tac!!

we probably shouldnt count that one since it was from 4 months ago.

its really a month long deal, but your welcome to shoot in it with your robinson (shhh, just dont tell anyone)

no, really, i suppose its close enough to an ar, and id hate to exclude you. so just shoot your best groups starting now and your good to go, you could even win the grand prize (braggin rights)

hehehe......

BTW what barrel you got on your ar?

my bud helz mcfugly, my brother, and myself all will be shooting 16" hbar barrels (unless helz has pulled a fast one and has something i dont know about yet. (which im sure he doesnt or he would immediately have rubbed it in my face)

I require pictures.

lol, evidently he hasnt read it yet because they still have hair.

You are going to have to have a Mod do that, after 4 days i think it is, you are no longer able to edit a post...

FlyinBryan, one option would be to turn the current "scoreboard" into an image, put the image on a server and just update the image as required. That way, you wouldn't have to edit your original post. It's quick and easy to update a Word file, save it as a pdf, export to a jpeg etc or even do a "print screen" of the Word file then cut/paste and save as an image.

Here's what I'm talking about ... this scoreboard ...

... changes to this scoreboard simply by updating the image on the server ... no post editing required.

As for the match, I'm going to have a go with a couple of my ARs.

:)

This sounds like fun, any chance you can open it up to AR's in alternate calibers?

im sure we can work something out. what class would you be shooting?

Cool!

Nope, that would be AR-10, not AR-15. There are 7.62x39 AR-15s, just ask krochus.

Duh! I had a brain fart!! LOL The funny part is that I have actually seen one!

This sounds fun, I think I will have to get in on this.

due to some requests, ar15 rifles of all calibers can take part in the tourny.

i hate to exclude anyone really.

so its open to all ar15 calibers.

204, 223/5.56, 7.62x39, 6.5, 6.8 as long as its an ar15, its in.

Well, i have a entry, but no time to post pics. Class #4, 4" flat. It was 2", but i jerked the trigger, flyer. Using federal 55gr crap. (which i don't reccomend to anyone, wolf is more accurate in my gun than this is) I am going out of town for the weekend, ill post pics and a full set od details then when i get back.
