Hi Everybody, I have a question about this ar15 match. This is a match where you go to your range and do the differant yards. Then post them. If so I might give it a try. Have not had my ar out in awhile. 223 cost to much, but I see the are starting to go back down. I mainly shoot black powder.
Thanks
Yeah, just go to your range, shoot target, take pics, post.

What were the results of the June AR match?. I have'nt seen anything posted.

yep, gvnwst just posted the official results.

i really shouldnt call nbkky the overall marksman leader because his groups didnt really fall into the rules,

i think it should say outstanding marksmanship award

i would say that we have 4 overall winners.

sarduy.

lol, no doubt.

that dude is incredible at 100yds with the irons!!!

in fact, if i was a betting man, my money might just be on him in class #3.

I tried shooting 200 yards groups today, it was 104 degrees. It was a booger with mirage and all. I had this screamer of a group and on the 5th shot I blew it. 4 shots into the .2's but the 5th took it in the .8's

Here is my entry for 200yds. Shot with the same handloads and rifle that i used in last month's match. .36 MOA @200yds

lol, 5 shots in three quarters of an inch at 200 yards. maybe i should include 300 or even 500 yards next month.

leaderboard update!!!!!!!!

Ya know, i was thinking of trying the 200yd class, i think i am going to skip that now...

Please dont do that, this is supposed to get more folks out shooting.:banghead:

:uhoh: I'll need to buy some boolits if I decide to shoot the 100 yard scoped match.

I was more making a joke, my main problem is i have like 100 rounds of ammo left, and all of it is wolf. I still cannot find primers around here, but when i do, 10 pounds of powder, lake city brass, and (undecided) match bullet will work wonders...:D

ive been having trouble finding primers too.

ive been hearing that the shortage is improving, but i havent really seen it.

Great shooting doubleA! I'm starting to see a pattern develop

lol, me too, a little pattern, even @200yds!!!!!

Here are the 3 groups I shot yesterday. A single flyer ruined each group but it happens...it's part of shooting at least for me.

The rifle........

you say that is a sabre varminter?

did you get the whole upper preassembled? and is it just like it came from sabre?

also, what twist is it? and what bullets do you have the most luck with?

(sorry for all the ??? but that thing is just awesome!!!!!!

Questions?.....no problem

The upper and lower are pure factory, straight from Sabre Defence. I havent done a thing other than to change the A2 stock and grip out. The PRS added some weight in the butt to help with the balance of the rifle.

I have only tried a few bullets 60gr and heavier out of this rifle. As strange as it seems, this 1:8 barrel shoots any 50gr bullet well. One of these days I am going to try Sierra's 77 or 80 gr MK or some of the heavy A-Max's. Until then, I'll just plug away with what I have.:D

dubbleA--Do you neck turn your brass? I have heard from some guys that their flyers turned out to be inconsistant necks, and when they started turning them all, flyers went away.

Dumbass me should have fired for record first thing this morning as it was HOT today in Charlotte (94 deg F). It took a several attempts to get this group after shooting highpower practice all morning.
