1916 vintage UK surplus. Now has modern cylinder and barrel. Will shoot 45 ACP with moon clips, 45 Win Mag (loaded to 45 Colt Specs) in moon clips, 45 Auto Rim, and 45 Colt.
Put the old timer away and carry this one most of the time now.

Colt Defender 45ACP
Of course, I do have a favorite NON-1911 .45 ACP -- and of course, it's still an original (West German SIG P-220, the first, and still the king of DA/SA .45s!)
I've been pining for a Classic Commander Bobtail for years. There’s been a lot of interesting discussions about new guns coming out. Lots of fun stuff has been discussed, and a load of serious stuff too.
So let’s just have a little fun here. Post a picture of your favorite 45 ACP, whatever it happens to be. No bashing please. Good natured ribbing and genuine drooling only.
I have three currently but this is my favorite. It’s a Dan Wesson Classic Commander Bobtail. It fits me wonderfully and my hands wrap around it very securely. It shoots straight, it has night sights. The action is smooth, and the trigger is crisp. I like the short barrel too as it feels much more compact for carry to me. I also think it looks great without from cocking serrations, even though they don’t bother me on other guns I own.

What’s your favorite and why?
MCB, what rig is that and how do you like it? I'm picking up my 625-2 today and the holster set ups aren't easy to find. Thx
I'm not an impulse buyer, but when it was under glass at my LGS I asked to see it, and after thirty seconds I asked to put it on layaway. That wouldn't be too bad, but I had picked up a DW 38-Pointman about a month earlier.I've been pining for a Classic Commander Bobtail for years.
Looks fantastic!
You've just inspired meMy favorite .45 shooter is the G21 Gen 4:

My favorite .45 to look at, and second-favorite to shoot, is the S&W 4506:
